I grew up outside of a small town in rural Indiana where I developed a deep passion for agriculture passed down to me from my father, grandfather, and grandmother. This passion lead me to an involvement in both 4-H and FFA. My participation with both of these organizations, as well as the agricultural courses I took in school steered me to earn a degree in Agricultural Education from Purdue University.
After graduation I spent a few years teaching both at a local high school and Ivy Tech Community College. However, once I met my now husband I moved to Bloomington, IN where I took a break from teaching and started working on my masters degree in Adult Education. Earning my degree has been a slow journey because life has been happening along side my education with getting married and having a child. However, I'm thankful it has been slow, I feel that this has allowed me to really learn and grow. |
